Former Avalanche Forward Milan Hejduk Is Selling His House In Colorado And It’s Absolutely Insane

Milan Hejduk and his family will remain Colorado residents, but the former Avalanche forward who had his No. 23 sweater retired by the club in January has listed his 16,700 square-foot mansion in Parker for a cool $5.2 million.

That price includes a full-sized hockey rink and a Zamboni — key elements in the elite-level development of Hejduk’s twin sons, Marek and David. The 14-year-olds might begin their junior careers as early as age 16, which would require them to play outside Colorado. (Via Denver Post)

Milan Hejduk played over 1,000 games in the NHL. Scored over 300 goals and had 800 points and is a potential hall-of-fame candidate. But his greatest accomplishment in life may be owning this beauty of a mansion in Colorado that he just put on the market for a whopping 5.2 million big ones.

The house comes with a full-sized ice rink and zamboni. Basically, every kid that played hockey growing up’s dream. Imagine how good you could be if you had your own rink inside your house? I mean, Hejduk has two sons who are 14 and if they don’t go pro there is something wrong with them. It should be mandatory that if you live in this house growing up you have to play professional hockey.

The rink also comes with its own lodge that really gives the rink a homey/throwback vibe. A lodge along with its own kitchen, bedroom, locker rooms and just overall space of activities makes this one of the best home rinks in the country. The rink can also be turned into a soccer field, tennis court or used for storage for various different vehicles.

This place actually looks like heaven. You’re in Colorado. You can ski and snowboard the best mountains in the country all day then crush YOUR rink at night with the boys. Does life get any better than that? You also won’t have to deal with rink managers telling you to clean up your beers. I mean, mom & dad may be worse but they can’t kick your team out of the league for not picking up a few cans after a late night game.

Imagine being able to come home from the bars and crush a game of 2’s while you’re completely mangled? Or even just a drunken shootout with the fellas? Man, must be nice.
